EXPO 1520 Will Host Ecology and IT Pavilions
On August 30 - September 2, within the framework of the Sixth International Rail Salon of Engineering and Technologies EXPO 1520, an exhibition area of 8000 sq. m will host five covered pavilions and 150 full-scale specimens of advanced rolling stock and infrastructure.
New thematic sections include Digital Railroad and Ecology.
Pavilion 2 will offer visitors to familiarize themselves with the scientific and technical project Digital Railroad, one of Russian Railways’ priorities within their comprehensive program of innovative development of the holding for 2016-2020. Their key challenge is the creation of an electronic platform to manage all processes of the company in the field of passenger and freight transportation, infrastructure and rolling stock. Another issue to deal with is the introduction of Wi-Fi networks onboard long-distance trains. Pavilion 4 will be devoted to environmental issues connected with rail transport.
In addition to the exhibition, participants and specialists will have the opportunity to enjoy an extensive business program. Within the framework of the International Conference Railway Engineering. Prospects, Technologies, Priorities a series of discussions and round tables on the development of communication technologies in rail transport, global engineering, cyber safety and other issues will be held.
This year, the program of EXPO will be unique in terms eventfulness. Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a spectacular dynamic show and theatrical performances, open-air installations and huge screens. Open Railways Day will be the final day of the fair. On this day, outdoor sports activities for children and adults, dance master classes, quests and book reading places will be organized. There will be a fair on the territory of the Salon representing collectibles, antiques and handicrafts.
During EXPO 1520, visitors will be able to get to the venue by suburban train from Kursky railway station to Shcherbinki and back free of charge.
The 6th International Fair of the Railway Equipment and Technologies will be held at the VNIIZhT Experimental Ring in Sherbinka, Moscow, on 30 August - 2 September 2017.
EXPO 1520 is Europe’s unique and only fair of railway equipment and technology for the “wide” gauge space. The exhibition showcases the latest rolling stock, railway machinery, components and equipment manufactured in Russia, the CIS and the EU. The 2013 exhibition made it into the Guinness Book of Records in terms of the number of real-life railway equipment exhibits (127) put on display in Eastern Europe.
The fair’s highlight is a dynamic demonstration of the full range of operating characteristics of Russian and foreign-made locomotives and rolling stock. The venue is outfitted with special grandstands for convenient viewing of equipment in motion.
The fair’s audience consists of executives and specialists of Russian and international manufacturers and operators of railway equipment from both “narrow” and “wide” gauge countries.
